Bruce G. Macdonald is a native Tucsonan who attended Cragin Elementary School, Doolen Junior High School and Catalina High School. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arizona and has been an Arizona trial lawyer for over 25 years.
Mr. Macdonald is certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation. He is an AV rated lawyer. He has been recognized by the Southwest Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in Arizona, been elected to the Best Lawyers in Arizona in the specialty of Personal Injury Litigation, and is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. In 2011, he was selected to Arizona's Finest Lawyers and recognized as one of the top 100 trial lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Macdonald is also an Associate of the Tucson Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
His practice is limited to personal injury, mass torts, class actions, and insurance claims practices cases, which are most commonly referred to as bad faith actions. Mr. Macdonald has successfully settled class actions with Farmers Insurance Company of Arizona and Nationwide Insurance on cases involving the reduction of medical payments benefits under automobile insurance policies.
Mr. Macdonald has served on the Board of Directors for the Pima County Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct and the Supreme Court of Arizona Committee on Character and Fitness and has acted as a hearing officer for the Supreme Court of Arizona Disciplinary Commission. He has also participated as a faculty member for the State Bar of Arizona College of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Macdonald formerly worked as the Managing Attorney for the in-house counsel office of a major insurance carrier, and has previous experience as an insurance defense lawyer for many of the major insurance companies. His unique perspective and experience in knowing how insurance companies operate provides his clients with an unparalleled advantage in their cases.
